Job Overview
QuantumStack is looking for a Lead Data Engineer to maintain our 400 Airflow DAGs and build reliable data models for business executives who will ultimately download the data into an unformatted Excel spreadsheet anyway.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and optimize scalable ELT/ETL pipelines processing 50M+ events daily.
- Maintain data warehouse integrity in Snowflake and manage dbt transformation models.
- Troubleshoot overnight pipeline failures caused by the upstream team randomly renaming a column from 'user_id' to 'uid_v2' without warning.
Requirements
- 5+ years building enterprise data platforms with dbt, Airflow, and cloud data warehouses.
- Advanced SQL skills and expert knowledge of dimensional modeling (Kimball methodology).
- Deep understanding of distributed computing and data quality frameworks.
