Job Overview
Acme Technologies is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead development on our core enterprise middleware platform. You will build resilient microservices, streamline distributed data pipelines, and attend up to 14 weekly syncs regarding button color consistency.
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement scalable TypeScript/Node.js backend services and React frontend portals.
- Diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks across distributed SQL and caching systems.
- Participate in daily agile standups and explain why an estimated 2-hour task took 3 days due to legacy undocumented code.
- Mentor junior engineers and review pull requests with varying levels of existential patience.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Managers who change requirements 10 minutes before sprint freeze.
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional full-stack development experience with modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks.
- Solid understanding of relational database design, query optimization, and distributed systems.
- Proven ability to stay calm during emergency production outages caused by someone else's hotfix.
- Strong communication skills for explaining technical debt to stakeholders who only care about next week's demo.
